# Distant Horizon

You can now play on the **Horizon Venture**: [Suvival Multiplayer (SMP) Server](/horizon-ventures-wiki/horizon-ventures/worlds-and-servers.md#survival-multiplayer-smp),\
using the **Distant Horizon MOD**!

These means you can see the whole **Survival Multiplayer Map** in the background wherever you are.

**Pre-loaded Chucks** can be downloaded and placed in the **Distant Horizon Folder**,\
so you don't have to explore the whole world yourself.

The pre-loaded chucks are part of Distant Horizons visual memory and ***can't*** be turned into a playable MC singleplayer world.

## DISTANT HORIZON GUIDE

**STEP 1**: Installing the mods.

* **Download** [**Fabric** ](https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api)- This mod must be installed to run **Distant Horizon**.
* **Install Fabric** - [Installation Guide Here](https://docs.fabricmc.net/players/installing-fabric).
* **Download** [Distant Horizon](https://modrinth.com/mod/distanthorizons/versions).
* **Install Distant Horizon**: Place the **.jar file** in the **mods folder** in your **.minecraft folder**:\
  \&#xNAN;**\Users\\{profile}\AppData\Roaming\\.minecraft\mods**

Download the version of the mod which is the same as your **Minecraft Version**.\
You will also need **FABRIC** to run the mod: <https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api>

**STEP 2**: Download the pre-loaded world.&#x20;

This file has all the chucks pre-loaded, so you don't have to explore the entire world yourself, in order to see them in the distance.

* **Download** the Horizon Ventures **SMP Map** [Map File](https://mega.nz/file/2xJlwaTZ#KooPxv0A1GWBRHOh5blqg7a0MPLMvewq5Dmiabax288) (11GB).
* **Place** the file in the **"@overworld" Folder**:\
  \&#xNAN;**\Users\\{profile}\AppData\Roaming\\.minecraft\Distant\_Horizons\_server\_data\Horizon+Ventures\\**
